Perfect Loop
Best for: Short skits, facts, satisfying clips
The hook
- Do
- Make the last sentence flow straight into the first one.
- Say
- Last line: “…and that's exactly why I'll never…” First line: “…trust a paper airplane again.”
The first 3 seconds
- 0.0sThe first words secretly finish the last sentence: “…trust a paper airplane again.”
- 1.0sThe video carries on as normal.
- 3.0sThe viewer is hooked without knowing it loops.
Why it works
When the end connects to the start, people watch twice without noticing. Watch time goes over 100%.
What you need
- A short script, under 20 seconds
- A last line that finishes the first line's sentence
- First and last frames that look alike
Step by step
Plan
- Write the whole script, then rewrite the last line so it leads into the first.
- Keep it short. Loops work best under 20 seconds.
Film
- Film the first and last shots from the same spot, in the same pose.
- Say the last line so it stops mid-sentence.
Edit
- Cut the very end mid-word or mid-movement, so it flows into frame one.
- Play it on loop three times. If you notice the join, keep trimming.
Use it in your niche
- FactsEnd: “…and that's why sharks…” Start: “…are older than trees.”
- ComedyEnd with you walking out of frame; start with you walking in
- SatisfyingEnd mid-pour; start mid-pour
Pro tips
- The best loops get watched 2–3 times before people notice. That extra watch time helps the video.
- Match the sound too: the same point in the music, or no music at the join.
Avoid
- A jump in the sound at the join. It gives the loop away.
- Long videos. Loops get weaker after about 30 seconds.
