Why it works
One sentence that raises several questions at once (how? why? banned?) is very hard to scroll past.
What you need
- A story with a surprising outcome
- One hook sentence that raises 2–3 questions
- The answers, in the right order
Step by step
Plan
- Write your hook, then count the questions it raises. Aim for 2–3.
- Plan the order: answer the small questions first and the biggest one last.
Film
- Say the hook in one breath, straight to the lens.
- Film parts of the story too, if you can.
Edit
- Put the hook on screen as text as well.
- Answer the biggest question last.
Use it in your niche
- SchoolI accidentally emailed the whole school, and now I'm famous.
- TravelI booked a flight to the wrong Paris, and it was the best trip of my life.
- PetsMy dog ate my homework, and my teacher believed me.
Pro tips
- Each extra question adds pull, but three is the limit before it gets confusing.
- Things that don't belong together (pizza, cinema, banned) work best.
Avoid
- Answering everything in the first 5 seconds.
- Questions that never get answered.
