Why it works
A series gives people a reason to follow. They want to see day 100.
What you need
- A goal you can show progress on
- A daily filming routine: same place, same angle
- The same caption style every day
Step by step
Plan
- Pick a goal whose progress you can see: a skill, a fitness goal, a project.
- Choose a length you can keep up. 30 days you finish beats 365 you quit.
Film
- Film in the same spot, from the same angle, every day.
- Film day 1 well. You'll come back to it.
Edit
- Put “Day X of Y” at the top of every video, in the same style.
- On milestone days (10, 50, 100), show day 1 next to today.
Use it in your niche
- FitnessDay 1 of 60: training for my first pull-up
- MusicDay 1 of 100: learning piano from zero
- ArtDay 1 of 30: drawing my cat every day
Pro tips
- Post at the same time each day. People start to expect it.
- Bad days make good videos. Show them.
Avoid
- Starting a series you can't finish. Missed days lose followers.
- Changing the format halfway. Keep it recognisable.
